You can see changing exhibitions of contemporary art on relevant social themes in Schloss Biesdorf, often with a focus on the urban sphere. The exhibitions are flanked by art projects with a comparable outlook and the Commission for Art in Public Space has its offices at Schloss Biesdorf. The presentation of artistic heritage with a focus on the art of the GDR is also continued in cooperation with the Kunstarchiv Beeskow.
The experience in the palace is complemented by a permanent exhibition on the eventful history and unique architecture of the building, as well as on its reconstruction. The artist Laleh Torabi, illustrates the eventful past of the palace on the walls in black and white – extended and brought to life by architectural historian Dr. Oleg Peters through architectural artefacts and media elements.
We are looking for more stories and photos for the displays in the history room of Schloss Biesdorf.
